O! Canada!
Windsor is the southernmost city in Canada and is located in Southwestern Ontario at the western end of the heavily populated Quebec City – Windsor Corridor. It is within Essex County, Ontario, although administratively separated from the county government. Windsor is across the Detroit River, south of Detroit, across Ambassador Bridge or through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, which is located right next to the Renaissance Center. This heavily trafficked border crossing has shaped Windsor more than anything else, giving the area well-maintained, walkable streets, shops and restaurants, and Caesar’s Windsor casino. Windsor provides great views of Detroit's skyline, especially on summer nights from waterfront Dieppe Park. Please keep in mind that crossing the border requires a passport.
Windsor is known as The City of Roses and residents are known as Windsorites.
