Christ Calls Seminarian Vocations Video Contest
Contest Overview
The "Christ Calls" Video Contest is a contest to see which seminarian or group of seminarians can produce the best promotional video for the diocesan priesthood. It offers a chance for you or your team to win a $1,000 grand prize plus a trip (accommodations for two nights and round-trip airfare for 2) to the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors (NCDVD) National Convention next September in the San Francisco Bay area for the premiere of your winning video. The second place winner will receive a $600 prize. The third place winner will receive a $300 prize.
Entries must be submitted to our YouTube group by 11:59 pm (EDT) on June 15, 2012. After all the entries are received, an NCDVD evaluation panel comprised of vocation directors from around the country will review and score the videos for their effectiveness in promoting vocations among young adult men in the US today. The winning videos will be posted on the NCDVD website, the NCDVD YouTube channel, and vocation promotion websites around the country. All videos submitted become property of NCDVD.

- July 15 Evaluation and scoring of videos complete
- July 16 Winners notified
- September 27 Winning video presented at NCDVD Conference
Guidelines for the Video Contest
- Contest participants must be approved by their vocation director. We will be contacting each Vocation Director to receive approval. Upon receiving approval, submission instructions and more detailed information will be sent directly to the Team Captain.
- Videos must be between 2 to 4 minutes in length.
- The goal of the video is to promote vocations to the diocesan priesthood in the United States.
- The contest is open to seminarians studying for the diocesan priesthood.
- Participants must not include name of (arch)diocese, seminary, or seminarians in the video.
- Participants may utilize outside assistance in producing video.
Instructions for Uploading Video
These will be forwarded to the Seminarian Captain’s email address after we have received approval from your vocation director.
