Membership in NCDVD is held by individual dioceses that pay annual dues based on their Catholic population as reported in the Official Catholic Directory (P. J. Kenedy and Sons, Inc.). Each dues-paying diocese is classified as a Regular Member and holds one vote in the business meetings of the organization.

But, many people within a member diocese may enjoy benefits. For instance, the vocation office in a member diocese may have a vocation director, a director of seminarians, a coordinator of parish vocation committees, and an office secretary. Each of these can take advantage of their diocesan membership.

Benefits include the following:

• Access to the members' only section of our website: Here you'll find resources related to vocation promotions, candidate screening and discernment, and seminary formation. Many of these items can be found only on NCDVD's website.
• Our quarterly Newsletter full of timely information about important activities in vocation ministry and updates on colleagues.
• Our annual Journal of Vocation Theology.
• Significantly reduced fees at our Annual Convention.
• Significantly reduced fees at our Biennial Institute for New Vocation Directors.
• Invitations to participate in regional gatherings of vocation directors - a critical time for establishing a professional support network.
• Discounts on certain items made available through our media partner, www.nccv-vocations.org.
• Representation in the USCCB's Committee on Vocations, as well as with important partners in vocation ministry in the U.S.
• A voice and vote (one per diocese) in the affairs of NCDVD at our annual business meeting.

Membership dues account for about 20% of our organization's annual budget. Thus, the services our members receive are underwritten to a large extent by foundations and organizations interested in promoting and strengthening the Catholic priesthood, including these.
