COR Hike

Join COR Expeditions for a short 2-hour early afternoon hike where we will facilitate leadership and teamwork activities. We will explain and role-model the process for facilitated reflection as a part of our afternoon activity to help you bring the models we use in the mountains back home to your seminarians. Come see how nature, adventure and challenge can foster an important type of formation for your seminarians.  We will be moving around as part of the activity so bring a water bottle, proper clothing, and basic shoes you can hike in!

Private tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral

If Manhattan is the epicenter of the Archdiocese of New York, St. Patrick’s Cathedral is its nucleus. On Wednesday, August 30th, Dunwoodie would like to invite you to a private tour of this landmark designed to be the most beautiful Gothic Cathedral in the New World. Your tour guide will be Rev. Enrique Salvo, the Rector of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and former Vocation Director for the Archdiocese!

Attendees will also have a chance to meet His Eminence, Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan. Finally, you will enjoy a fantastic cocktail party at St. Patrick’s – quite literally a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Joining you at the Cathedral will be His Excellency, Bishop James Massa, Rector of St. Joseph’s Seminary and Auxiliary Bishop of Brooklyn, along with members of our faculty and seminarians. This is the perfect opportunity for you to ask about – well – anything at all.

You may decide to take the bus back to Huntington at 6:00 p.m. or stay in the city to see a Broadway show, grab dinner at one of New York City’s iconic restaurants, or just take in the sights. You would then need to return to Huntington on your own via the Long Island Railroad.

Here’s the catch. This outing will be limited to only 40 NCDVD attendees, so…
