We strongly recommend against Newark (EWR) as it will add an additional 2 hours to your travel time.

 How do I make my way from the airport to the Retreat Center?

  1. Uber or Car Service
  2. Rental Car: Check the web page of each airport.
  3. JFK AirTrain/ Long Island Railroad:
    From JFK: if you choose not to rent a car, the best option is to take the Long Island Railroad, (LIRR). To do this you can take the Air Train from any terminal in JFK to the Jamaica Train Station.From there you take the LIRR Huntington Line to Huntington Station OR the LIRR Port Jefferson Line to Cold Spring Harbor. Both trains should take approximately 45/50 minutes. From there you can take a taxi/Uber to the seminary, which should be about a 10/15 minute drive.

  1. LGA/ Long Island Railroad:
    From LGA: the best option is to rent a car or take a car service, however, you can access the Long Island Railroad by using the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) buses. For information please visit: www.laguardiaairport.com/to-from-airport/public-transportation

Arriving by Car Service:
If you are arriving by Uber or Cab please use the Main Entrance (which is the 2nd entrance off West Neck Road) and enter the building using the Main Doors.

Departing by Car Service:
If you are departing by Uber or Cab we suggest having the driver use the Main Entrance (which is the 2nd entrance off West Neck Road) and meeting you at the Front Door.

Parking at the Retreat Center:
If you are arriving with your own car, you will find parking in our Visitor Lot, (which is the 1st entrance off West Neck Road) You may enter into the main driveway to Check-in at the Retreat Center, drop your bags and then park your car in the Visitor Lot.

Dinner in Town
On Tuesday, August 29th NCDVD will run a free shuttle bus to St. Patrick’s Church, located on Main Street for anyone wishing to have dinner in downtown Huntington.   The Bus will depart the Retreat Center at 6:00 pm and then will return every 30 minutes starting at 7:30 p.m. with the last bus returning at 10:00 p.m.
*Note: Dinner will not be served at the Retreat House on Tuesday or Wednesday
Anyone who wishes to take their own car may park in the School parking lot of St. Patrick’s

NCDVD does NOT provide shuttle service back to the airports.
