NCYC 2015 – Indianapolis – November 19-21, 2015

NCDVD has been invited to coordinate the Adoration Chapel at the 2015 National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) to be held in Indianapolis from Thursday, November 19, through Saturday, November 21, 2015. Over 20,000 high school youth and adult chaperones will be in attendance, making NCYC one of the largest regular gatherings of Catholic youth in the United States. Here’s how you can be involved:

Vocation Directors:

If you are planning on attending NCYC, please contact Fr. Eric Augenstein, Archdiocese of Indianapolis Vocation Director, at eaugenstein@archindy.org or 317-236-1496.

All Diocesan Vocation Directors attending NCYC are asked to take a shift at the Adoration Chapel (Room 212 in the Indiana Convention Center) to be present to the youth coming to pray and available to talk with any who might want to have a conversation about vocation or discernment and also to assist at the NCDVD table outside of the Adoration Chapel.

Once you have contacted Fr. Eric, he will be in touch to find out a time when you can be present in the Adoration Chapel, which will be open on Friday, November 20, from 12:30 pm – 6:30 pm, and Saturday, November 21, from 11:30 am – 6:00 pm.

Also, limited housing options in local rectories are available for visiting Vocation Directors. Please contact Fr. Eric for more information.

Bishops are also being invited to do a Holy Hour in the Adoration Chapel; that information will then be communicated to their diocesan delegation.

Seminarians:

Seminarians are invited to take part in NCYC as servers for liturgies, assistance in the Reconciliation areas, and in various other capacities. If you have seminarians who will be attending all or part of NCYC, encourage them to register for seminarian volunteer times at this link: http://archdioceseofindianapolis.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?start_over&id=8236.

Seminarians should use the password: GodIsGood

Priests:

Assistance is needed with the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the following times:

Friday, November 20 – 12 noon-6 pm (Indiana Convention Center)
Saturday, November 21 – 12 noon-6 pm (Indiana Convention Center)

Please visit this link to register as a volunteer and sign up for times to hear confessions http://archdioceseofindianapolis.volunteerlocal.com/volunteer/?start_over&id=8236.

All priests will be required to submit a letter of good standing via e-mail to clergyncyc@archindy.org.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call Fr. Eric Augenstein, Vocation Director of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis:

God bless and please continue to pray for vocations,
