Join this presentation for a complete walk-through the seminarian application process. With particular attention given to the norms and guidelines for seminary admission in PPF6, we will look at best practices for dioceses and vocations offices in guiding men through the application process and presenting recommendations to the bishop regarding acceptance into a seminary formation program. Attention will be given to the overall process, medical and psychological evaluations, canonical norms, background checks, interviews and recommendations, and the thresholds for admission into a formation program
Rev. Eric Augenstein
Fr. Eric Augenstein was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis in 2004. A native of Indianapolis, he received a Bachelors Degree from La Salle University (Philadelphia) and Master of Arts and Master of Divinity Degrees from Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. In 2013, he became Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and served in that role full-time for six years. In 2019, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis initiated a team-based approach to vocations ministry, and Fr. Eric now serves as Director of Seminarians as well as Pastor of Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ Church in Indianapolis. He has served as NCDVD Regional Coordinator for Region VII (IN-IL-WI) since 2017 and has coordinated clergy and seminarian involvement for the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) since 2015.
